More photo's of our trip to Barcelona - Easter 2003

Phil standing on the street were we stayed - Placa de Gracia

Another Gaudi creation by night - this one is called Casa Batllo

The view of Placa de Gracia from the roof of our hotel

Our rooftop pool, even though it was quite hot, the pool was still to cold to swim in (even though I dared once for about 5 seconds)

Photo's above are of another Gaudi creation called Parc Guell. It is a massive public park which is surrounded by some great walking tracks.

One of Gaudi's houses at the bottom of Parc Guell.

Gaudi's Lizard

Once again, another Gaudi creation. This is one of the most visited cathedrals in the world. It is called 'La Sagrada Familia'. It was started in the early 1900's and it is still an empty shell, they are still working on it as you can see by the cranes everywhere, it is taking ages as they rely on donations only.

The other side of 'La Sagrada Familia', you can see the two different styles from the front and back. Amazing.

'La Sagrada Familia' again.

An inside shot of 'La Sagrada Familia', look how different it is. I loved this little pod in the middle of the column.

Casa Batllo outside (another Gaudi creation)

Casa Battlo inside

One of the churches in the Gothic Quarter

From the side of the church opposite you can see inside to this wonderful garden

An old tradition - People come on a Sunday at midday to dance in front of the above church. There are heaps of these circles of dancers going at once.

Umbrella's as a piece of art!
